1. Services Provided
I offer professional literary translation services between English and German. These include, but are not limited to, the translation of biographies, autobiographies, articles, journals, novels(non-fiction), essays, fables, and personal blogs.
2. Project Scope
The scope of each translation project, including deadlines, word count, and any specific requirements, will be agreed upon before work begins. Any changes to the scope during the project must be mutually agreed upon and may result in additional fees or adjusted timelines.
3. Pricing and Payment Terms
All pricing is provided based on the complexity, word count, and deadline of the project. A price estimate will be shared before starting the project. A 50% deposit is required to commence work, with the balance due upon completion of the project. Payments can be made via [GooglePay, Paypal]. Any outstanding payments must be made within 14 days of final delivery. Late payments may incur additional fees.
4. Revisions and Feedback
Clients are entitled to one round of revisions free of charge, provided the revisions are within the scope of the original project brief. Any additional revisions or changes outside of the agreed scope may be subject to additional fees.
5. Confidentiality
All client materials and information shared during the course of the translation project will be treated with strict confidentiality. I will not disclose or share any details of your project with third parties without prior consent, except as required by law.
6. Delivery Timeline
The timeline for project completion will be mutually agreed upon before starting the project. While I strive to meet all deadlines, I cannot be held responsible for delays caused by unforeseen circumstances outside of my control. If there are any anticipated delays on my part, I will notify you immediately and work to adjust the schedule as necessary.
7. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing all relevant materials, including the source text, project requirements, and any specific instructions, in a timely manner. Delays in receiving materials may affect the agreed timeline and could result in extended delivery dates.
8. Cancellation Policy
If a project is canceled after work has commenced, the client will be responsible for paying for all work completed up to the point of cancellation. The initial deposit is non-refundable unless otherwise agreed upon.
9. Intellectual Property
Upon receipt of full payment, all rights to the translated material will be transferred to the client. I reserve the right to use non-sensitive portions of the work in my portfolio, unless otherwise agreed upon.
10. Limitation of Liability
I will provide the translation services to the best of my ability and ensure quality and accuracy. However, I will not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the translated material.
I reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated in writing and will apply to future projects.
